Metabuff, Inc.’s base of operations is within the United States, we care about the global community and wish to offer engagement opportunities for everyone, no matter what part of the world they call home. That desire creates a significant degree of liability in how we handle information. This privacy notice explains the measures in place to ensure we responsibly handle and protect your information when you are engaging with us through our website. This privacy policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit or make a purchase from (the “site”). When we talk about “Personal Information” in this Privacy Policy, we are talking about Personal Information, Device Information, and Order Information. Please review our privacy policy and ensure that you understand the extent of privacy protection we are enabled to provide.


Information we collect is dependent upon which products or services you get through the website. It may be collected via online forms, polls, interactions with our Customer Experience Division (through email, chat, or forums). We collect personal information you provide us, including:

  • Date of birth

  • Account name
  • Telephone number
  • Preferred language
  • Username/Screen name
  • Security questions and answers
  • Survey responses about our products (all surveys are optional)
  • Additional information you provide when seeking technical support assistance (hardware specifications, name, account identification, match ID, description of problem encountered)

When you participate in social features, including forums, in-game chat, or voice chat, the information that you disclose in these public venues is not something that can be secured or prevented by Metabuff, Inc. It may be read, copied, or used by others. So be cautious with information you choose to share via these channels. Do not disclose personal information within social features.

When you participate in online play through any of our competitive eSports titles, your gameplay activity will become visible to others. Others may see your Username/Screen name, performance statistics, gameplay habits, and match ID’s that allow them to view replays of your previous matches. Privacy settings will permit you to prevent some of this information from being accessible, however settings will not prevent others from seeing your screen name and performance on live matches. As eSports titles are often recorded for later posting or live-streamed by players, your screen name and performance may be observed by many other people at any given time.

How do we use personal information?

Information gathered may be used for any of the following purposes:

  • Carrying out polls and surveys
  • Account set up and administration
  • Meeting internal audit requirements
  • Personalization of distributed content
  • Legal obligations (eg: prevention of fraud)
  • Internal research and development purposes
  • Providing technical support for customer experience issues
  • Providing customer service for account, order, and billing issues
  • Providing invoices, order confirmations, shipping/tracking information
  • Delivering marketing materials, in accordance with your account preferences
  • Digital content distribution authorization and dissemination (granting access to content we are publishing, and how we get it to you).


When you visit the Site, we may automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device. Additionally, as you browse the Site, we collect information about the individual web pages or products that you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Site, and information about how you interact with the Site. We refer to this automatically-collected information as “Device Information.”

We may collect Device Information using the following technologies:

How do we use device information?

Information gathered may be used for any of the following purposes:

  • Security validation protocols
  • Troubleshoot technical problems
  • Saving login details and account preferences
  • Optimize our site based on gathered analytics
  • Determine the effectiveness of Marketing campaigns
  • Personalization of content and communication for the user
  • Identifying quality of experience issues associated with browsers and addons

Please note that we do not yet alter our Site’s data collection and use practices when we see a Do Not Track signal from your browser.

Linking to other websites / third party content

With additional features under development, it is encouraged (when possible) to link social media accounts through your Metabuff account. Depending on your account preferences, we may link to your external social media channels (Twitch, YouTube, or other streaming service). This does not constitute an endorsement, and does not infer liability on Metabuff, Inc. for the information contained within your site or stream. Additionally, our websites contain links to external third party services, such as social media sites and news articles. When you visit a third party site, please consult the Privacy Policy of that site, as our Privacy Policy cannot carry over to third party content providers.

When do we share personal data?

We share your Personal or Technical Information with third parties as necessary to help us accomplish the goals of the uses described above. For example, we will be utilizing an encrypted service for financial transactions in order to provide the most secure handling of your financial data. Processing the transaction requires account verification/validation, creating a need for some information to be shared with the processor to complete the transaction. When those transaction begin, we will update this section of the policy to reflect the extended privacy policy of our transaction processor. Orders of physical merchandise require the external visibility of a ship-to name and address of the recipient. We also use Google Analytics to help us understand how our customers use the Site--you can read more about how Google uses your Personal Information here: You can also opt-out of Google Analytics here: Username and gameplay information may be shown through our site or in-game ranking statistics sections (some of this information may be restricted based on your privacy settings). While the collective statistics or demographics of our customer base may be used for other market research and reporting, personal information associated with your account will not be sold or traded to another company under any circumstance. Finally, we may also share your Personal Information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other lawful request for information we receive, or to otherwise protect our rights.

Where do we store and process personal data?

All information we collect may be processed and stored for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. Currently, that information is only being stored and processed within the United States. In fulfilling orders, processing collected data may result in the portions of data necessary to execute the transaction being transferred to recipients inside the United States or other countries that may not have the same laws as your country of residence, or the same level of privacy protection.


When you place an order through the Site, we will maintain your Order Information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete this information or a year after the properties and transactions associated with the account are no longer in distribution or supported (whichever comes first).

Your rights in relation to personal data

Members of the European Union have rights in place that protect their information from being collected and used without proper legal grounds. We collect information to the extent necessary to satisfy a contract with you, with your consent, and where we have legal obligation to process your information. Establishing accounts, maintaining secure control and retrieval of the account, maintaining purchase and order history, and establishing our ability to deliver content in accordance with your requests, is all part of fulfilling our obligation to you. Additionally, note that we are processing your information in order to fulfil contracts we might have with you (for example if you make an order through the Site), or otherwise to pursue our legitimate business interests listed above. Please note that your information will be transferred outside of Europe, including to the United States.

If you are a European resident, you have the right to access personal information we hold about you and to ask that your personal information be corrected, updated, or deleted. While not being rights required by law, non-European residents are being extended the same courtesy as the rights held by European residents (as noted above). We want all of our customers to enjoy the same level of comfort and security with how their personal information is being handled.
